Presenters Instructions In order to help your presentation run smoothly, a number of services and facilities are provided for you. Please take the time to read the following to ensure that your presentation is successful. Oral Presentations On Arrival You will be directed to the speaker preparation room where your presentation will be downloaded and verified. If at all possible, please check-in your presentation material well before your session. Please do not take your presentation directly to the session room or send your presentation in advance. Presenters are requested to report to the registration desk on arrival. Before your Presentation Please go to the session room 10 minutes prior to the start of your session to meet the session chair. There will be a dedicated Speakers Preparation area (Suite 4) and a technician will be available to load presentations. Each session room will be equipped with a laptop running PowerPoint 2007, a data projector, lectern and lapel microphone. Presentation Format The preferred method of presentation is PowerPoint through a laptop. You must bring your presentation to the conference on either CD or USB Flash drive for it to be loaded on the Conference system by an audiovisual technician in the speakers’ preparation room. Please have your presentation saved under your surname. Style of Presentation The organising committee of the Conference would like to encourage all presenters to maintain a ‘conversational’ style of presentation rather than reading from a prepared script. The aim of the Conference is to share information and ideas, and to generate discussion amongst attendees. Length of Presentation Presentations are 10 minute plus 5 minutes Q&A. Chairperson A chairperson will be allocated to your session. Their role is to introduce you at the start of the session and to ensure the session keeps to time. They will give you warning when you are due to finish your presentation. Posters
