CALL FOR PAPERS
The Call for Papers is now open. Please submit all abstracts to aabhl@plevin.com.au using the Submission Forms below for Single Papers, Workshops, Panels and Posters.
Researchers, practitioners, politicians, lawyers and commercial interests have an impact on matters that the community might consider to be their choice. How do we ensure the public is informed about and engaged with the work of bioethics? The 2010 AABHL Conference will explore questions of choice across many settings from:
Abstracts are invited for presentation in either an Oral or a Poster session at the Conference. Oral presentations are limited in number and, at the discretion of the Conference Organising Committee, authors maybe offered a poster presentation.
Abstracts will be accepted under the following categories:
Single Paper Each presentation will be of a duration of 20 minutes (10-15 minutes for the presentation, 5 minutes for discussion). See Single Paper Guidelines and Submission Form for further details.
Workshop A workshop should consist of presentations from three or four authors around a topic. Workshops should last for two hours. Please submit an abstract describing the workshop topic (maximum 200 words) and a brief abstract for each presentation (maximum 100 words each). Panel A panel should consist of presentations from two to three authors around a topic with responses from other authors, followed by a panel discussion by the authors and respondents, also including involvement from the audience. A panel should last for 1.5 hours. Please submit an abstract describing a panel topic (maximum 200 words), brief abstracts for each presentation (maximum 150 words) and response (maximum 50 words). Poster A poster will included in the program and posters should consist of a title, an extended abstract, and contact information for the authors. Accepted posters will be displayed at the Conference and maybe included in the Conference proceedings. See Poster Guidelines and Poster Submission Form for further details.
Publication Authors are not required to submit full papers for the Conference and while proceedings of this Conference will not be published, authors are encouraged o submit their papers to the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry.
